Why do we give?

Jesus teaches those who follow him that giving is better than receiving. This attitude of generosity starts with a commitment to tithe 10% of what God gives us, recognizing that nothing truly belongs to us to hoard. Everything we have is meant to be a blessing. Generosity is a kingdom mindset and a fundamental way God’s blessings flow into the world.

 

Charitable Giving Policy

  1. Christ’s Church is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization so all donations are tax-exempt.
  2. Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Christ’s Church of Oronogo has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
  3. Donors may make requests regarding the use of contributions to Christ’s Church of Oronogo, but the use of all funds is ultimately at the sole discretion of the Elders of Christ’s Church of Oronogo.
  4. Christ’s Church of Oronogo solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with its mission, which is to prepare God’s people to discover completeness in Jesus.
